Other than very small jobs we always request stage payments to be paid as the work progresses. A typical stage payment request for a two storey extension would be:-

• 20% Concrete up to over-site
• 15% Brickwork to first floor level
• 15% Brickwork to roof level
• 15% Roof constructed
• 10% Roof watertight
• 15% Plastering & floors complete
• 5% Plumbing & heating complete
• 5% Completion

Only in exceptional circumstances do we ever ask for payment in advance. But we do ask that the Client shall pay the sums set down as progress payments within 14 days of the invoice date. Final account to be paid within 21 days of invoice date.
